Kevin Payton
The Arkadia Traiskirchen Lions announced two signings for the upcoming season. Kevin Payton is coming from Wels where he played for the former WBC since 2015. Payton had to deal with a couple of injuries in the last years. He was limited to just three games during the 15/16 campaign. Last season he appeared in 36 games for Wels posting averages of 8.4 ppg, 5.2 rpg and 3.3 apg. Payton was named Supercup MVP at the beginning of the season. After a troubled season Wels made it to the league semis but lost to Oberwart in a decisive game 5.

Meanwhile forward/center Aleksandar Andjelkovic is coming from BC Hallmann Vienna. The young prospect had a year of his contract remaining but practiced with the Lions in summer when he returned from his first stint with the Austrian national team. He got cut when NBA player Jakob Poeltl was added to the team. Last season Andjelkovic played in 33 games for the capital city ball club and averaged 3.4 ppg along with 3.0 rpg.

American Center Darien Nelson-Henry (211-C-94) put on an amazing game in the last round for UBSC Graz, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2. The 23-year old player had a double-double of 36 points and 20 rebounds, while his team UBSC Graz moved-up to the 9th position in Austrian A Bundesliga.
