Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Austrians who are currently playing abroad.

Rasid Mahalbasic
Rasid Mahalbasic
#1. This week's number one is an international center Rasid Mahalbasic (210-90, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in Germany). He led EWE Baskets to a victory against the closely-ranked BG Goettingen (1-1) 93-85 in the German BBL in Saturday night's game. Mahalbasic recorded 17 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 28 minutes on the court. It was his first game for EWE Baskets this season. His team is placed fifth in the BBL. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Mahalbasic has a dual citizenship: Austrian and Slovenian. Ex-kelag Worthersee Piraten player is currently a member of the Austrian senior national team.

Thomas Klepeisz
Thomas Klepeisz
#2. Second place goes to an international point guard Thomas Klepeisz (186-91, currently plays in Germany). He contributed to Braunschweig's victory against the 11th-ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (0-1) 81-68 in the German BBL last Friday. Klepeisz recorded 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Moritz Lanegger
#3. The Austrian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Moritz Lanegger (190-90, currently plays in United Kingdom). He contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Worcester Wolves (0-1) 88-72 in the British BBL on Friday night. Lanegger recorded 11 points and added 7 assists in 24 minutes. It was his first game for London Lions this season. His team is placed first in the BBL. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Lanegger is also a member of the Austrian senior national team.

Sebastian Koch
Sebastian Koch
#4. Forward Sebastian Koch (202-88, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) contributed to Kormend's victory against Boras Basket 85-72 in the FIBA Europe Cup in Tuesday night's game. He scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Egis Kormendis placed in the FIBA Europe Cup. It's Koch's first season with the team. This year Koch averages: 4.5ppg and 4.0rpg. He is also Austrian national team player.

Bryce Douvier
Bryce Douvier
#5. International forward Bryce Douvier (201-91, college: Texas A&M-CC, currently plays in Italy) could not help Remer Treviglio (0-1) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance the 15th-placed Remer Treviglio (0-1) was defeated 73-63 on the road by the much higher-ranked Lighthouse TRP (#5) in the West group. Douvier was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 9 rebounds (made all of his six free throws). It was his first game for Remer Treviglio this season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Douvier is a naturalized American. He plays currently for the Austrian national team. Strangely Douvier has never played in Austria.

David Kramer
David Kramer
#6. Point guard David Kramer (191-97, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help ratiopharm Ulm in their game against ALBA Berlin (1-0) in the German BBL.    #7. International point guard Thomas Schreiner (195-87, agency: Dynamics Global Management, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Burgos in their game against CB Canarias (1-0) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Schreiner cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 3 points. It was his first game for Burgos this season. Burgos was badly defeated 81-65 at home by the lower-ranked CB Canarias (#4). Schreiner is also Austrian national team player.

Maximilian Hopfgartner
Maximilian Hopfgartner

He scored 7 points in 17 minutes. Schwabing (#14) lost 81-90 on their home court in Schwabing to the second-ranked Treuchtlingen in the South-East group. This year Svinger averages only 4.5ppg in two games he played so far. He used to play for the Austrian U16 national team two years ago.

The list of other players, who all have Austrian passport but never been selected to any of Austrian national teams:

#1. Luka Asceric (201-SG-97, currently plays in France) managed to help Hyeres-Toulon Var Basket in a victory against the league outsider Limoges CSP Elite (0-3) 85-70 in the French ProA last Saturday. Asceric scored only 2 points and added 3 assists in 20 minutes. Hyeres-Toulon Var Basket (3-0) is placed second in the ProA. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. This year Asceric averages just 1.7ppg in three games he played so far.

#2. Experienced Michael Kaiser (195-G/F-82, currently plays in Germany) was the major contributor in Herzogenaurach's victory against the 12th-ranked Jena II (0-2) 104-86 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) in Saturday night's game.
