Despite much tougher Semifinals series was expected, Fener managed to beat Turk Telekom with perfect 3-0. Willie Solomon (187-G-78, college: Clemson) had 15, Mirsad Turkcan 14 pts, 9 rebounds and 5 assists, while Damir Mrsic and Oguz Savas helped with 11 points apiece. The hosts got 30 points (6 triples) from Khalid El-Amin (178-G-79, agency: Beo Basket, college: Connecticut). In Game 2, Turk Telekom was defeated at home 79-85. This time Willie Solomon (187-G-78, college: Clemson) and Mirsad Turkcan (206-F-76) stepped up for Fener nailing 17 points each (Solomon 5 as, Turkcan 5 rebs). Serkan Erdogan (190-G-78, agency: Interperformances) delivered 20 points for the hosts. In third game Fener was better at home70-57. Devin Smith (196-G/F-81, college: Virginia) shined in today's victory with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Oguz Savas (208-C-87) had 15 and Semih Erden (211-C-87) added 11 pts, plus 8 boards. Oscar Torres (195-F/G-76, agency: Interperformances) netted 16 points in defeat, while Erwin Dudley (204-F/C-81, agency: Interperformances, college: Alabama) contributed with double-double, 13 pts and 13 rebs.
Rasim Basak appeared 23 times in TBL this season averaging 4 ppg and 1 rpg. In Euroleague he had 3.2 rpg and 1.8 rpg in 14 in 14 games.

Darius Washington and Vanja Plisnic each scored 19 points to lead the winners, while Jumaine Jones added 17. Greer LaMarr netted 23 points in defeat, whilst Damjanovic Aleksandar collected 19 points and 15 boards. Later on Russia sends BC Triumph to the EuroChallenge Final Four as the latter beat Ural Great 78:63. Marque Perry led the winners with 19 points and Toporov Sergei posted 15. Washington Darius shined for the guests with 33 points and 5 rebounds. In a battle of Russian outfits, the Moscow Region team overcame an upset in Game 1 to win the Quarter-Final series 2-1. In the last game of the Russian Superleague Unics overcame Alexandr Rindin's Ural Great 94:71. Marko Popovic notched 20 points and Jackson Marc scored 16. Plisnic Vanja ended up with 16 points in the losing effort.

U20 Finland - U20 Azerbaijan 118-56
Finland had an easy job against Azerbaijan in the first day of Classification Stage from 17th to 19th position. Azerbaijanis couldn't find a solution how to stop amazing Antti Kanervo (193-G/F-89), who totally smashed them draining 43 points. After this game Finland is a step closer to position number 17 on U20 European Championship division B in Targu Mures while Azerbaijan will most probably end this competition as a last ranked team. Azerbaijan showed the poorest performance on his championship than any other team. This time Azerbaijanis once again finished the with more than 100 points in their basket. As a reminder, just once they avoided this number and it happened against Ireland in Preliminary Round. Finland dominated in the paint finishing the game with 45 boards. At the same time Finish defense looked pretty good which resulted with 28 turnovers by Azerbaijan. Antti Kanervo was on fire during the entire time scoring more than 1/3 points of his team. At the half time Finland already created advantage of 32 points what made this game not so exciting until the very end.
As it was mentioned above, Antti Kanervo was totally the best player of this game. He played 36 minutes shooting 9/12 for FG2, 7/14 for 3-pts and 4/5 FTs. Except of him Juho-Matti Lehtoranta (191-G-89) also shined for the winning side scoring 22 points including 6 boards. Azerbaijan got the most from Anar Hajiyev (198-F-88), who scored 18 points. Amil Hamzayev (200-C-90) was the last player in Azerbaijan with double-digits adding 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Finland will have a day-off tomorrow while Azerbaijan will meet Switzerland.
