Gala earned the first win in the title series. They outscored Araz in the second game of the series to draw thing level at 1-1. Gala claimed an 83:79 victory. The series is best-of-five. Gala will host the next two games.
In the meantime NTL-Tudor stepped onto the pedestal. They clinched the Bronze medals. NTL-Tudor knocked down Chag Oiretim 75:56 for the second win the consolation final series to clinch the third position.

Ali Ton joins Azerbaijan National Team coaching staff - May 3, 2012

Ali Ton will work with Azerbijan National Team. Azerbaijan National Basketball federation appointed the American specialist assistant head coach. Ali Ton spent the last two season at the University of California-Irvine. He worked as coach assistant with the Anteaters. Ali Ton reached Big West Tournament semifinals with the team this season. Previously Ali Ton had assistant coach stints with Radford and Binghampton. He also worked as an assistant coach with the Turkish U18 National Team in 2005.
Azerbaijan will start their 2013 EuroBasket Qualifying Round campaign on August 15th. Azerbaijan will visit Luxembourg. Azerbaijan will fight for two qualifying spots in Group B alongside Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Sweden and Germany.

Jaycee Carroll (188-PG-83, agency: Priority Sports) receive Azerbaijan passport and will play for the National team. Recently it was announced that Azerbaijan confirmed Niklas Caner-Medley in the National team roster. Levent Turknas, the President of the basketball Federation and Elhan Aliyev, the Main Coach of the team came back from Russia with positive news that time.
Jaycee Carroll is playing for Real Madrid this season. He tallied 12.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game in ACB. In Euroleague the guard delivers 14.2 points, 2.6 rebounds per game.
Jaycee Carroll exploded recently with 36 points in the Spanish League. At the Regular Season 25 Real overcame Zaragoza 85:71. Jaycee Carroll added 5 rebounds and 2 steals to his points. Jaycee Carroll will play as Bosman player in Liga Endesa.
