Sweden - Azerbaijan 96:79

Sweden posted the first win at 2013 EuroBasket Qualifying Round. They powered past visiting Azerbaijan for 1-1 record in Group B. Christian Maraker (206-PF-82, college: Pacific) accounted for 19 points to lead the hosts.
Azerbaijan opened the game aggressively. The hosts set the tone scoring 25 points in the first ten minutes and taking a 10-point lead. It did not take long for Sweden to recover. The hosts organized a rally that put them within one at halftime 41:42. Jonas Jerebko (206-PF-87) allowed the hosts to spur in front early in the third term. Sweden piled up a 66:60 advantage heading into the fourth frame. Azerbaijan stayed close throughout the first part of the final quarter but then the visitors ran out of steam and Sweden capitalized. The home team went on a 13:3 run to post a 90:77 lead. Sweden did not look afterwards cruising to the victory. Jonas Jerebko delivered 18 points, 7 assists and 6 boards for Sweden. Kenny Grant (188-G-82, college: Davidson) added 14 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Jaycee Carroll (188-G-83, agency: Priority Sports) answered with 27 points for Azerbaijan. Rasim Bashak (200-F-80, agency: Court Side) had 24 points in the loss.

80-ies qualified to the Final - 2 days ago
80-ies qualified to the Final of the Play-offs. In the decisive third game they beat Dervish 84-75 and won the series 2-1. Trailing 0-1 in the series, 80-ies tied it all at 1-1 after a 77-60 victory in Game 2. In the Final game 80-ies will take on the winner of the Regular Season NTD. NTD advance into championship series - 18 days ago
NTD became the first League finalists. They cruised past Veterans 64:106 in Game 2 of the semifinal series to complete the sweep. NTD were victorious 103:72 in the opener. In the meantime 80ies refused to give in. They toppled Dervish 77:60 to even things up in the semifinal series. 80ies and Dervish will decide on the finalist in Game 3. NTD and Dervish win Semifinal openers - 24 days ago
NTD and Dervish win the Semifinal openers in the country. They proved their ambitions to reach the Final overcoming the opponents on the weekend. NTD did not leave any chance for Veterans in a 103-72 victory. Dervish meanwhile grabbed a valuable 51-46 win against 80-ies. Second games are planned for the next Saturday, March 11.   [read more]
