Bulgaria topple Azerbaijan for crucial win in Group B - Sep 2, 2012

Bulgaria stayed hopeful about their 2013 EuroBasket ambitions. They shot down Azerbaijan in Samokov to catch up with their opponents at 3-3 record in Group B. Hristo Nikolov (200-PF-85) posted 26 points to lead the hosts.
Bulgaria left their opponents behind in the opening quarter. The hosts went on a 26:13 run in the first frame. Azerbaijan however stopped the rot in the second stanza. The visitors held Bulgaria to 11 points in the period to narrow the gap at 6-point mark at halftime 37:31. Bulgaria unleashed 31 points in the third quarter to take a 21-point lead at the final break. Azerbaijan challenged the hosts with a 15:7 run but Bulgaria quickly bounced back and silenced the visitors at the end. Ivan Lilov (196-SG-88) accounted for 17 points, while Chavdar Kostov (195-SG-88, agency: Interperformances) finished with 21 points for Bulgaria. Aleksandr Rindin (225-C-85, agency: Interperformances) answered with 17 points for Azerbaijan. Charles Davis (205-C-84, college: Alabama) banked 19 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.

D1 Round 14: NTD beat Veterans in the most crucial game of the week - 19 hours ago
The Regular Season in D1 just ended. What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. An exciting game was played in Baku. Second ranked NTD faced 4th ranked Veterans. Guests from (11-1) smashed host Veterans (4-8) 113-34. NTD have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-1 record having just one point less than leader Dervish. D1 Round 12: #1 Dervish is defeated by NTD - 17 days ago
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Dervish (9-2) on the court of second ranked NTD on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by NTD 82-63. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Dervish. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. NTD (8-1) have an impressive six-game winning streak. D1 Round 11: NTD U16 beat Veterans by two after a very close game - 23 days ago
The most exciting game of round 11 in the D1 took place in Baku. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Veterans (3-6) to fifth ranked NTD U16 (3-3) 54-52 in the game for the fourth place. NTD U16 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Veterans lost fourth consecutive game.
