Germany recorded the eighth straight win in 2013 EuroBasket Qualifying Round. They held off visiting Azerbaijan to clinch the top spot in Group B. Azerbaijan had to win the game to hope for EuroBasket qualification but came up short of their goal. Tim Ohlbrecht (210-F/C-88) tallied 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners.
Azerbaijan eked out a 22:21 lead after ten minutes of action. Germany surged ahead in the second frame. They posted a 43:39 halftime lead. The teams stayed neck and neck throughout the third quarter. Staiger capped it with a three-pointer as Germany established a 58:54 lead. Staiger, Jagla and Schaffartzik made it 70:60 for Germany midway through the fourth term. Soon the margin grew at 14-point mark and the visitors could not recover. Philipp Schwethelm (201-SF-89, agency: Pro One Sports) and Robin Benzing (209-SF-89) finished with 11 points each for the hosts. Charles Davis (205-C-84, college: Alabama) responded with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for Azerbaijan. Zaur Pashayev (188-G-83) netted 14 points in the loss.

D1 Round 12: #1 Dervish is defeated by NTD - 11 days ago
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Dervish (9-2) on the court of second ranked NTD on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by NTD 82-63. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Dervish. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. NTD (8-1) have an impressive six-game winning streak. D1 Round 11: NTD U16 beat Veterans by two after a very close game - 17 days ago
The most exciting game of round 11 in the D1 took place in Baku. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Veterans (3-6) to fifth ranked NTD U16 (3-3) 54-52 in the game for the fourth place. NTD U16 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Veterans lost fourth consecutive game. The Regular Season in D1 just ended. The most exciting game of round 10 in the D1 took place in Baku. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 6th ranked AzDNSU (2-7) to seventh ranked Araz (1-8) 56-55 on Saturday evening. Araz maintains seventh position with 1-8 record.
