The most exciting game of round 7 in the D1 took place in Nahchivan. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of bottom-ranked Araz (0-6) to sixth ranked NTD U16 (1-3) 48-45 in the game for the sixth place. Newly promoted NTD U16 maintains sixth place with 1-3 record. It was Araz's sixth loss in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost.
An exciting game was played in . Second ranked NTD faced 3rd placed Veterans. Guests from (4-1) smashed host Veterans (3-3) 127-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Veterans. NTD maintains second place with 4-1 record having just three points less than leader Dervish. Newly promoted Veterans dropped to the fourth position with three games lost.
The game in was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked 80-ies (3-2) played at the court of 5th ranked AzDNSU (2-4). 80-ies managed to secure a 8-point victory 85-77 on Saturday. 80-ies moved-up to third place. AzDNSU lost third consecutive game. AzDNSU at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with four games lost.

Veterans - NTD 76-127

An exciting game was played in Baku. Second ranked NTD faced 3rd placed Veterans. Guests from (4-1) smashed host Veterans (3-3) 127-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Veterans. NTD maintains second place with 4-1 record having just three points less than leader Dervish. Newly promoted Veterans dropped to the fourth position with three games lost.

BC Kremen Kremenchuk (Higher League) re-signed 27-year old Azerbaijani ex-international power forward Amil Hamzayev (204-90, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov). He played there last season.
