Hapoel T-A - Rilski Sportist 84-63 (1-1)

Second game of the Balkan League Quarterfinals between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Rilski Sportist was played last night. The Israeli squad celebrated easy 84-63 home victory tying the score to 1-1 in the series. The format is best-of-three and teams will meet tomorrow again. It will be another home game for Hapoel and the winner will advance to Semifinals. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Rilski Sportist managed to win third quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rilski Sportist to just 6 points in first quarter. Hapoel Tel-Aviv dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Rilski Sportist's 34. They outrebounded Rilski Sportist 47-23 including a 33-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Swingman Corry Carr (192-G/F-75, college: Texas Tech) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Demontez Stitt (186-PG-89, college: Clemson) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. Swingman Hristo Zahariev (200-G/F-90) responded with 16 points and Serbian power forward Filip Vukosavljevic (205-F/C-83) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for third game. The winner will play against Levski in the Semis.

Kozuv - Peja 77-67 Kozuv outgunned Peja at home court but were unable to overcome the deficit after the opening leg and got eliminated. The game was mostly controlled by Kozuv. Peja - Kozuv 83-66 Peja fired past Kozuv in the opener. The game without a history. Peja led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 24 Kozuv turnovers.
