Hapoel Galil/Gilboaa, who finished 2nd last season but failed to reach the Final Four after losing to Maccabi Ashdod 3-1 in the quarterfinals playoffs series, is beginning to work on its 2012-13 season player personnel.

As Eurobasket recently reported about Maccabi Beer Yaakov's scoring point guard Yoad Bet-Yosef, verbally agreeing with Galil, earlier today, the young talent signed a two-year deal with the Northern squad.

Bet-Yosef, who posted averages of 20.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists throughout the season, has his eyes set on joining the former Israeli champions, and is highly appreciated by Galil's Head Coach Lior Lubin.

This past summer, Bet-Yosef competed in the World University Games with the Israeli National Team and recorded 8.5 points, 2.1 boards and 1 dime per game.

Galil's expected to part ways with all of their Americans, including Courtney Fells who has an extension option. Point guard Ofir Farhi was released.
