Serbian Miladin Pekovic (197-G/F-83, agency: BeoExcell) had an amazing evening in the last round for Kozuv and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 29-year old swingman had the game-high 22 points adding nine rebounds for Kozuv in his team's victory, helping them to beat OKK Beograd (#10, 0-5), the league's bottom-ranked team 82-77. Kozuv is placed at 8th position in Balkan League group B. Kozuv is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-3 record. In the team's last game Pekovic had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Kozuv's top player in his first season with the team. Pekovic has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 14.0ppg) and averages solid 57.6% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 23-year old Serbian center Uros Lukovic (212-C-89) of second-ranked Kumanovo. Lukovic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Kumanovo lost that game 71-92 to the lower-ranked Mornar Bar (#5, 1-5). Kumanovo managed to keep the same second spot in group A. His team's 3-2 record is not bad at all. Lukovic is a newcomer at Kumanovo and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.2ppg (#4). He also registered 12.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Hristo Zahariev (197-SG-90) of Rilski Sportist (#7). Zahariev showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the last round. Despite Zahariev's great performance Rilski Sportist lost 74-84 to the league's current leader Teodo Tivat (#6, 4-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Rilski Sportist needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in Round 2. Their record is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Zahariev has a very solid season. In 5 games in Balkan League he scored 11.8ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Brice Massamba (208-F/C-88) of Djuro Djakovic - 17 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Aleksandar Radulovic (207-C-84) of Teodo Tivat - 16 points and 11 rebounds
6. Vukota Pavic (203-C-93) of Mornar Bar - 21 points and 8 rebounds
7. Sinisa Tepavcevic (201-F-84) of Teodo Tivat - 18 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Savo Djikanovic (211-C-75) of Teodo Tivat - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Stanoje Knezevic (202-PF-89) of OKK Beograd - 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Marko Mijovic (188-PG-87) of Teodo Tivat - 13 points, 2 rebounds and 10 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
