Host teams show no mercy winning all games.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Montenegrin Teodo Tivat (4-1) in Samokov on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Bulgarian Rilski Sportist (4-2) 87-67. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Teodo Tivat. It was a key game for the top position in the league as both teams had the same 3-2 record before this meeting. The game without a history. Rilski Sportist led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game, while Teodo Tivat only scored seven points from the stripe. 25 personal fouls committed by Teodo Tivat helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Tony Gugino (207-86, college: Hillsdale) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Hristo Zahariev (197-90) contributed with 14 points and 6 assists for the winners. Center Savo Djikanovic (211-75, agency: Beo Basket) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds for Teodo Tivat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rilski Sportist keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Galil Gilboa and Kumanovo. Teodo Tivat at the other side keeps the sixth place with one game lost. Rilski Sportist will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
