Serbian Slobodan Bozovic (207-C/F-79) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Kozuv, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (31 points, four rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Teodo Tivat (#7, 4-2) 84-71. Kozuv is placed at 8th position in Balkan League group B. Kozuv is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Bozovic had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Slobodan Bozovic averages this season 11.3ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was 29-year old Serbian Marko Marinovic (183-PG-83) of league's leader Levski Sofia. Marinovic had a very good evening with 22 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he lead Levski Sofia to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Kumanovo (#3, 4-3) 103-66. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in group A. Levski Sofia consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Marinovic is a newcomer at Levski Sofia, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.2ppg (#4). He also recorded 5.2 assists per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was center Savo Djikanovic (211-C-75, agency: Beo Basket) of Teodo Tivat (#7). Djikanovic scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds. Despite Djikanovic's great performance Teodo Tivat lost 71-84 to slightly lower-ranked Kozuv (#8, 4-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Teodo Tivat needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in group B. Their record is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Djikanovic has a great season in Balkan League. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.8ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 7.0rpg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Nikolay Varbanov (210-C-85) of Levski Sofia - 16 points and 3 rebounds
5. Bojan Krstevski (205-F/C-89) of Kavala - 14 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Igor Mijajlovic (193-PG-84) of Kozuv - 13 points and 6 assists
7. Milos Pavlovic (210-F/C-84) of OKK Beograd - 16 points and 9 rebounds
8. Aleksandar Radulovic (207-C-84) of Teodo Tivat - 12 points and 11 rebounds
9. Chavdar Kostov (195-SG-88) of Levski Sofia - 13 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Dimitris Kalampakas (202-F-89) of Kavala - 20 points

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
