Uros Lukovic
23-year old center Uros Lukovic (212-C-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for Kumanovo and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
He had a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Rilski Sportist (3-3) 75-88. Kumanovo moved-up to the 5th position in the Balkan League First Six. Kumanovo is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 3rd lost game this season out of 6 games. Lukovic turned to be Kumanovo's top player in his first season with the team. Lukovic has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 16.1ppg) and averages solid 2.6bpg and 63.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Marko Mijovic (188-PG-87) of Teodo Tivat. He is a guard in his second season at Teodo Tivat. In the last game Mijovic recorded impressive double-double of 27 points and 11 assists. Bad luck as Teodo Tivat lost that game 92-102 to Galil Gilboa (3-3). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Mijovic is well-known at Teodo Tivat and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.1ppg (#6). He also recorded 6.9 assists per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Vuk Malidzan (193-G-88) of OKK Beograd (#-2). Malidzan showcased his all-around game by recording 12 points, nine rebounds and fourteen assists (!!!) in the last round. Despite Malidzan's great performance OKK Beograd lost 90-99 to #-4 ranked Djuro Djakovic. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. OKK Beograd can only dream about fighting for top spots in Last Four. They have awful Second Stage losing so far all 3 games. Too bad for Malidzan he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Malidzan has individually a great season in Balkan League. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.0apg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Marino Sarlija (207-C/F-89) of Djuro Djakovic - 22 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Matej Karlovic (200-F-89) of Djuro Djakovic - 26 points and 6 rebounds
6. Braxton Dupree (203-F-89) of Rilski Sportist - 16 points and 11 rebounds
7. Jamar Smith (191-G-87) of Galil Gilboa - 31 points
8. Dagan Yavzuri (193-SG-85) of Galil Gilboa - 21 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Branko Mirkovic (190-G-82) of Rilski Sportist - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Hrvoje Puljko (193-G-83) of Djuro Djakovic - 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
