American forward Mitchell Watt (208-F-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Galil Gilboa, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage).
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 11 points and 15 rebounds, while his team crushed Kavala (#5, 3-5) with 19-point margin 94-75. Galil Gilboa maintains the 2nd position in Balkan League First Six. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Galil Gilboa will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Watt as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Former The University of Buffalo star has very solid stats this year. Watt is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 6.8rpg) and averages impressive 1.6bpg and 59.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old Bosnia and Herzegovina Nikola Jeftic (202-F-85) of OKK Beograd. Jeftic had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as OKK Beograd lost that game 96-102 to Mornar Bar (1-3). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Jeftic is a newcomer at OKK Beograd, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward William Coleman (206-F-88) of Kavala (#5). Coleman scored 26 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Coleman's great performance Kavala lost 92-94 to Kumanovo (#3, 4-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Kavala not to end season at such low position in First Six, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Coleman could try to bring Kavala's a little bit higher in the standings. Coleman has individually a great season in Balkan League. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.4rpg (9th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Rakim Sanders (193-G-89) of Galil Gilboa - 20 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Mitchell Watt (208-F-89) of Galil Gilboa - 14 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Pavel Ivanov (200-SF-88) of Levski Sofia - 21 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Ivica Dimcevski (194-G/F-89) of Kumanovo - 23 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Hank Thorns (175-PG-89) of Mornar Bar - 25 points and 10 assists
9. Milorad Sutulovic (196-G-90) of OKK Beograd - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Uros Lukovic (212-C-89) of Kumanovo - 17 points and 10 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
