Peja overcame Kumanovo to take a narrow lead before the return leg. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Kumanovo won third quarter 22-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Peja looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Montenegrin forward Slobodan Miljanic (201-90, college: Lynn, agency: AproK Sports Group) fired 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Alban Veseli (202-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Four Peja players scored in double figures. American point guard Yonel Brown (175-94, college: Kennesaw St., agency: BeoExcell) produced 33 points (!!!) and forward Marjan Janevski (203-88) added 9 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side.

Teodo Tivat - Beroe 69-78

Beroe upset Teodo Tivat in Montenegro to open victoriously their semifinal campaign. It looked good early as Teodo Tivat took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Beroe had a 26-14 second period charge getting the lead and Teodo Tivat was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-78. Beroe forced 21 Teodo Tivat turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Brandis Raley-Ross (191-87, college: S.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Tihomir Zhelev (193-90) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Milos Popovic (197-98) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds and center Radomir Marojevic (207-81, agency: BeoExcell) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Teodo Tivat. Five Beroe and four Teodo Tivat players scored in double figures.

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Balkan League. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. American Dwayne Benjamin (201-F-93) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Blokotehna and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1. The 24-year old forward had the game-high 25 points adding nine rebounds for Blokotehna in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team SK Tirana (#8, 0-1) with 32-point margin 100-68. The Regular Season in Balkan League just started. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of FYR Macedonian Kumanovo (0-1) in Sofia on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Bulgarian Levski 2014 (1-0) 85-78. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 27-25. But Kumanovo won second period 19-18.
