The 29-year old center had a double-double of 22 points and eleven rebounds, while his team crushed Naglis Palangos (#2, 5-3) with 18-point margin 91-73. It allowed Tarvas to jump to the first place in the Baltic League Challenge. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Tarvas has a very solid 6-2 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Cipruss turned to be Tarvas' top player in his first season with the team. Cipruss has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.0ppg) and averages solid 67.2% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 25-year old American forward David McClure (198-F-86) of Nevezis Kedain.. McClure impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds. Of course Kedainiai cruised to a 86-75 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Tartu Ulikool (#9, 4-10). Kedainiai's 8th position in Elite has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-8 record. McClure is a newcomer at Kedainiai and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.
The third best performed player last round was American Sylvester Morgan (208-C-83) of Pieno Zvaigzdes (#6). Morgan scored 20 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Morgan's great performance Pieno Zvaigzdes lost 72-77 to slightly higher-ranked Rudupis (#4, 8-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Pieno Zvaigzdes needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in Elite. Their record is 6 victories and 6 lost games. Morgan has a very solid season. In 10 games in Baltic League he scored 10.0ppg. He also has 6.8rpg and FGP: 53.2%.
