Minsk-2006 - Tim-Scuf 57-61

Another exciting game for Ukrainian Tim-Scuf (9-1) which played on the court of Belarusian Minsk-2006 (8-2). First ranked Tim-Scuf won 61-57. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Minsk-2006. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Minsk-2006 was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 11-5 charge of Tim-Scuf, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Minsk-2006 to just 5 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Minsk-2006 48-33 including a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Larysa Stadnik (178-92) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and forward Olga Maznichenko (187-91, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 13 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side Russian forward Galina Ignatovich (185-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Volha Istseliatsova (189-88) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. Defending Ukrainian champion maintains first place with 9-1 record. Minsk-2006 at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Berezina - Tim-Scuf 80-79

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Ukrainian Tim-Scuf (9-1) in Borisovo on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by fourth ranked Belarusian Berezina-RCOR (4-6) 80-79. Tim-Scuf was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 22-15 charge of Berezina-RCOR, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Berezina-RCOR especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ala Murauskaya (187-85) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Center Hanna Kalenta (187-94) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Nataliya Gavryliuk (178-90) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds and forward Olga Maznichenko (187-91, agency: LBM Management) added 20 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Tim-Scuf. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Berezina-RCOR moved-up to third place, which they share with KK Tallina U. Defending Ukrainian champion Tim-Scuf still keeps top position with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
