No more team VICI. The Lithuanian team will not be present in LMKL, EuroLeague and Baltic League.
Sad news came from the champion of the League VICI. The team seized to exist. Some players already moved to another teams, while other are still negotiating with some squads.
In season 2011/2012 LMKL also had 8 teams. VICI Aistes lifted up the trophy as they won the Final series over Kibirkstis-Tiche. The decisive game brought 94:65 win for the favorites that proved their Regular Season unbeaten record. VICI-Aistes finished the Regular Season with 28-0 record, while Kibirkstis-Tiche second with 18-10 record. The latter looked however fantastic in the Play-off series and managed to beat the favorites twice.
Last year the team moved from Vilnius. The most successful side of the past years Vilnius TEO has been disbanded as the telecommunication giants TEO LT have decided not to support the team. The shares of the club were remised to a Kaunas-based company Vici Sport, therefore the team played their games in the second largest city in Lithuania.
