Rakvere Tarvas - Tartu Ulikool 90:84
Rakvere Tarvas became the first BBL Cup finalists. They knocked down their Estonian rivals Tartu Ulikool in the opening semifinal tonight. The hosts were paced by Reimo Tamm (185-PG-84) with 18 points.
Tartu Ulikool posted a 23:20 lead after ten minutes. However Tarvas bounced right back to take a 39:34 lead midway through the second frame. The hosts ensured a 43:41 halftime lead. Tarvas cleared off in the third term. They won it by as many as 16 points to take a comfortable 18-point lead into the fourth frame. The home side never looked back en route to the victory. Maris Laksa (202-F-81, agency: Court Side, college: Providence) finished with 16 points, while Kaido Saks (207-F-86) added 11 points for Tarvas. Justin Ingram (185-PG-85, agency: Two Points, college: Toledo) answered with 20 points for Tartu Ulikool. Egidijus Dimsa (205-C-85) netted 18 points and grabbed 14 boards in the loss.

Liepajas Lauvas - Siauliai 83:76
Liepajas Lauvas entered BBL Cup Final. They knocked down Siauliai in Rakvere to set up the clash versus hosting Tarvas in the title game tomorrow. Ivars Timermanis (203-F-82, agency: Alti Sport) scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds to lead the winners.
Siauliai jumped to an early 8:3 lead but Liepajas Lauvas quickly erased the deficit. The Latvian team surged ahead to accumulate a 24:10 lead late in the opening quarter. They entered the second frame up by 11 points 24:13. Liepajas Lauvas maintained the lead throughout the second frame. They enjoyed a 38:32 halftime advantage. The margin grew at double digits in the third period. Liepaja headed into the fourth period up by 12 points 57:45. Siauliai got within four points midway through the final frame but Liepajas Lauvas wisely stayed in charge and rolled to a well-deserved victory. Ernestas Ezerskis (192-PG-87) provided 14 points, while Kristaps Miglinieks (199-G-90) added 12 points for the winners. Vitali Liutych (197-SG-92) answered with 19 points for Siauliai. Aurimas Kieza (202-PF-82, college: Hofstra) had 14 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

FINAL Vytautas - P.Zvaigzdes 85-88 Pieno Zvaigzdes upset Vytautas away from home in the championship series opener. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. P.Zvaigzdes looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Vytautas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. P.Zvaigzdes - Tartu Ulikool 82-75 OT Pieno Zvaigzdes overcame Tartu Ulikool in overtime to secure BBL Finals appearance. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Tartu Ulikool won third quarter 19-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet.
