There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The game had a very big importance for first-ranked TU/Rock as it allowed them to take a leadership position. TU/Rock smashed bottom-ranked Valga on the road 94-50. The game without a history. TU/Rock led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Strangely Valga outrebounded TU/Rock 35-0 including a 25- advantage in defensive rebounds. Power forward Vallo Allingu (206-78) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Silver Leppik (189-83) chipped in 16 points and 6 steals. Latvian guard Edgars Cunda (195-84, agency: Court Side) produced 9 points for lost side. TU/Rock have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. which they share with defeated Valga. Valga at the other side still keeps top with three games lost. Valga will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. TU/Rock will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Jelgava at home.

Barsy Atyrau will play against league's second-placed Siauliai on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. TTU will play against the league's leader Ventspils and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game was played in Kedainiai where Sakalai (#3) beat host Nevezis (#5) 73-63 on Tuesday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of Paulius Dambrauskas who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 assists. At the losing side Darius Silinskis responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Sakalai (1-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Nevezis still keep top with two games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Sakalai will meet at home league's leader BC Rakvere in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nevezis will play against the league's leader Tln Kalev in Tallinn and hope to get finally their first victory.
We should not miss the game where top-ranked Lietkabelis (2-0) against Juventus (1-1) where Lietkabelis won on the road by sixteen points 95-79. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The winners were led by Gytis Sirutavicius who scored that evening 32 points and 5 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Lietkabelis' coach Gintaras Leonavicius allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Lietkabelis keep a position of league leader, which they share with Valmiera and Ventspils. Juventus at the other side still keep top place with one game lost. Lietkabelis will have a break next round. Juventus will play on the road against the league's second-placed Liepaja and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Kaunas. Top-ranked Latvian Valmiera (2-0) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Lithuanian LSU-Baltai (0-2) 68-66 in the fight for the first place. Pavels Veselovs fired 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. LSU-Baltai's coach Edas Nickus rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Valmiera keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Ventspils and Lietkabelis. Loser LSU-Baltai still keeps top with two games lost. Valmiera will face league's leader Pieno Zvaigzdes in Pasvalys in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.

Rest of the games of round 4 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Lietkabelis crushed Liepaja in Panevezys 86-62. Ventspils beat Siauliai at home 83-75. Jelgava lost to Juventus on the opponent's court 96-101. Rudupis outscored Barons kvartals in a home game 88-57. Barsy Atyrau managed to beat Rapla on the road 81-64.
The best stats of 4th round was 27 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists by Darrick Leonard of Juventus.


Valga - TU/Rock 50-94
