Mockevicius
19-year old guard Mantas Mockevicius (189-G-93) had a very impressive game in the last round for Naglis Palangos and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had the game-high 30 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for Naglis Palangos as his team lost the game against Siauliai (#2, 3-1) 71-95. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Naglis Palangos maintains the 4th position in Baltic League . Naglis Palangos is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 2nd lost game this season out of 3 games. Mockevicius turned to be Naglis Palangos' top player in his first season with the team. Mantas Mockevicius averages just after three games 14.3ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Yancy Gates (206-F-89) of top-ranked Pieno Zvaigzdes. He is American forward in his first season at Pieno Zvaigzdes. In the last game Gates recorded impressive 25 points and 9 rebounds. Of course he lead Pieno Zvaigzdes to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Valmiera (#2, 2-1) 100-75. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Pieno Zvaigzdes consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Gates is a newcomer at Pieno Zvaigzdes and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Janis Timma (201-F-92, agency: FCM) of league's leader Ventspils. Timma scored 15 points and grabbed nineteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Ventspils, leading his team to a 78-74 win against the lower-ranked TTU (#5, 1-2). Ventspils started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Timma turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Timma has a great season in Baltic League. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.8rpg (5th best).

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
