Tauras
Jogela
Talented Tauras Jogela (203-F-93) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Lietkabelis and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 19-year old forward had a double-double of 18 points and sixteen rebounds, while his team crushed Liepaja (#5, 2-8) with 20-point margin 87-67. Lietkabelis maintains the 2nd position in Baltic League . They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Lietkabelis will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Jogela as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Tauras Jogela averages this season 10.0ppg and 5.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old American forward Morgan Grim (203-F-88) of Valga. Grim impressed basketball fans with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he lead Valga to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Jelgava (#4, 4-5) 91-70. Despite this victory Valga slide down in the standings to 6th position. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Valga managed to get this year. Grim is a newcomer at Valga and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was Janis Berzins (202-F-93, agency: Players Group) of Valmiera (#3). Berzins showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the last round. Despite Berzins' great performance Valmiera lost 74-82 to #2 ranked Kalev/Cramo. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Valmiera not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Berzins could try to bring Valmiera's a little bit higher in the standings. Berzins has individually a great season in Baltic League. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.8rpg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Osvaldas Matulionis (200-F-91) of Parnu - 32 points and 7 rebounds
5. Parrish Brown (185-G-84) of Naglis Palangos - 27 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Zygimantas Skucas (200-SF-92) of LSU-Baltai - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Taurantas Tamosiunas (192-PG-92) of LSU-Baltai - 21 points and 5 rebounds
8. Bamba Fall (217-C-86) of Kalev/Cramo - 17 points and 6 rebounds
9. Adomas Drungilas (203-C-90) of Lietkabelis - 8 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Vitali Liutych (198-SG-92) of Siauliai - 20 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
