Bamba Fall
Senegalese center Bamba Fall (217-C-86) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Kalev/Cramo, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1 (Top 16).
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (22 points, nine rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Naglis Palangos (#4, 0-1) 84-75. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Kalev/Cramo is placed at 2nd position in Baltic League . But it's just the very beginning of the Top 16 and Kalev/Cramo won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. It's Fall's second year at Kalev/Cramo and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former Southern Methodist University star has very solid stats this year. Fall is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 7.2rpg) and averages impressive 2.3bpg and 80.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old Gintautas Matulis (196-F/G-86) of league's leader Juventus. Matulis had a very good evening with a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he lead Juventus to another comfortable win outscoring Barsy Atyrau (0-2) 113-79. His team has extremely good start of the Top 16. They won their first game. However the Top 16 is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Matulis is one of the most experienced players at Juventus and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Juventus' star - forward Nerijus Varnelis (201-F-78). Varnelis scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He was another key player of Juventus, helping his team with a 113-79 easy win against #4 ranked Barsy Atyrau in a game of the week. Juventus has a very good start of the Top 16. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Varnelis also has a very good start of the Top 16 with very strong stats. Varnelis has a great season in Baltic League. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.9rpg (9th best). He also has FGP: 59.1% and 3PT: 40.7%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Yancy Gates (206-F-89) of Pieno Zvaigzdes - 17 points and 7 rebounds
5. Justas Sinica (203-F-85) of Sakalai - 18 points and 13 rebounds
6. Darrick Leonard (190-G-84) of Juventus - 15 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Tanel Sokk (182-G-85) of Kalev/Cramo - 14 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Donald Sims (185-PG-87) of Ventspils - 18 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Edgaras Zelionis (207-F-89) of Barsy Atyrau - 19 points and 7 rebounds
10. Aidas Viskontas (183-PG-86) of Juventus - 18 points and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
