The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 24-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Siauliai was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Janis Berzins (202-93, agency: Players Group) who scored 28 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Artjoms Butjankovs (205-91, agency: FCM) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The game without a history. Pieno Zvaigzdes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Barsy Atyrau's 36. The best player for the winners was swingman Mantas Ruikis (194-85) who scored 17 points. Gytis Sirutavicius (195-83) chipped in 17 points (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Lithuanian forward Edgaras Zelionis (207-89) produced 11 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Zambalist Fredrick (183-86, college: S.Carolina) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
