Rain Raadik (208-C-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for Parnu and that's him to receive a Player of the Week award for round 2 (Top 16).
The 23-year old center had a double-double of 33 points and eleven rebounds, while his team lost overtime game against Lietkabelis (#3, 1-1) 93-98. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Parnu moved-up to the 4th position in the Baltic League . The team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings in Top 16. They lost 1 games and had no victories. In the team's last game Raadik had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Parnu's top player in his first season with the team. Raadik has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.0ppg and leads league in rebounds with 11.9rpg. Raadik is in league's top in and averages solid 60.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Janis Berzins (202-F-93, agency: Players Group) of second-ranked Valmiera. Berzins impressed basketball fans with 28 points and 9 rebounds. It was enough for Valmiera to edge Siauliai (0-2) by 5 points 82-77. His team has extremely good start of the Top 16. They won both games so far. However the Top 16 is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Berzins is a newcomer at Valmiera and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.9ppg (#7). He also registered 8.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Gediminas Orelikas (200-G/F-90) of top-ranked Rudupis. Orelikas scored 21 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Rudupis, leading his team to a 93-68 easy win against #3 ranked Jelgava in a game of the week. Rudupis has a very good start of the Top 16. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Orelikas also has a very good start of the Top 16 with very strong stats. Orelikas has a great season in Baltic League. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.6ppg (5th best).

7. Egidijus Dimsa (205-C-85) of TU/Rock - 15 points and 7 rebounds
8. Keith Chamberlain (204-F/C-87) of Jelgava - 17 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Vallo Allingu (206-F/C-78) of TU/Rock - 15 points and 6 rebounds
10. Paulius Ivanauskas (195-F-87) of Rudupis - 13 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Davis Rozitis claims Baltic League weekly honour - 6 days ago

Davis Rozitis (213-C-90) put on an amazing game in the last round for Liepaja/Triobet and that's him to receive a Player of the Week award for round 2. The 26-year old center had the game-high 20 points adding seven rebounds and six assists for Liepaja/Triobet in his team's victory, helping them to beat Jurmala (#6, 0-1) 81-76. Round 2: Rapla beat Parnu - 7 days ago

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Baltic League. Rapla defeated Parnu at home 85-67. The game was mostly controlled by Rapla. Parnu managed to win fourth quarter 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Rakvere Tarvas (Alexela KML) inked 27-year old American forward Justin Baker (203-109kg-89, college: Utah Valley). He played in the summer at Logan Thunder in Australia QBL. Baker managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year (!!!). In 19 QBL games he averaged impressive 15.6ppg, 7.8rpg and 2.9apg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.
