Estonian guard Mirjam Nikolai (177-G-86) had an amazing evening in the last round for Eclex Tallinn, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while her team crushed Victoria (#5, 1-7) with 20-point margin 96-76. Eclex Tallinn maintains the 3rd position in Baltic League . Eclex Tallinn is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. Nikolai turned to be Eclex Tallinn's top player in her first season with the team. Mirjam Nikolai has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 14.7ppg) and averages impressive 2.1spg and 41.7% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Yuliya Haponava (187-F-94) of Berezina. Haponava had a very good evening with a double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Berezina was edged by slightly lower-ranked Victoria (#5, 1-7) 65-64. Berezina managed to keep the same 4th spot in the standings. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Berezina managed to get this year. Haponava is one of the most experienced players at Berezina and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 11.0ppg (#8). She also registered 5.4 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Krystyna Matsko (182-F-91) of league's second-best Tim-Scuf. Matsko scored 26 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Tim-Scuf, leading her team to a 85-75 win against the lower-ranked Victoria (#5, 1-7). Tim-Scuf needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Matsko has a great season in Baltic League. After only 8 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.5ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 8.3rpg (3rd best). She also has 2.9spg and FGP: 52.5%.

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
