Lithuanian businessman Vytenis Urba became President of the BWBL - Feb 1, 2013

58-year-old businessman from Vilnius (Lithuania) Vytenis Urba became President of the Baltic Women's Basketball League. Former basketball player replaced politician Kazimira Prunskiene, who suffered a stroke in February 2012.
K. Prunskiene was appointed Honorary President of the league at the BWBL team leaders' meeting in Vilnius. Other BWBL Honorary President is Viktor Kamenkov, President of the Belarusian Basketball Federation.
Uljana Semjonova (Latvia) and Konstantsin Sheravera (Belarus) will continue to serve as BWBL Vice-Presidents. Peeter Tishler (Estonia) became the new Vice-President.
Algimantas Ivasauskas (Lithuania) will continue to serve as BWBL Secretary General.

Natallia Dashkevich (188-F-88) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Olimpia and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. The 28-year old forward had the game-high 21 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for Olimpia in her team's victory, helping them to edge out Rapla KK (#2, 2-2) 72-68. Round 8: Rapla KK loses to Olimpia GrGAU - 1 day ago

Rapla KK - Olimpia 68-72 Hosts were defeated by Belarusian Olimpia GrGAU (3-4) 72-68. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Rapla KK was trailing by 9 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 23-16 charge of Olimpia GrGAU, which allowed them to win the game.
