TEO makes another step into BWBL history
Final
TEO-Arvi 75:66 (28:14, 19:19, 12:18, 15:16)
TEO from Vilnius celebrated the 8th straight win in Baltic League.
In the Final game against Arvi, TEO benefited 75:66 to triumph in the
League. An easy start gave the winners a possibility to control the game
and led it to the happy end.
Katie Douglas (183-G/F-79, college:
Purdue) top-scored for the winners with 21 points.
Egle Sulciute (190-C/F-85) nailed 15, while
Ebony Hoffman (188-C-82, college:
USC) added 13.
Willnett Crockett (188-F/C-84, college:
Connecticut) posted 28 points in the losing effort.
TEO rushed to offense in the opening quarter, being the favorites of
the Final. Leading by the top-scorer of the tournament
Katie Douglas, they won the first 28:14. With the score like that it
was a good way to control. Both squads finished the second quarter with
19:19.
Arvi had nothing to lose in the second half and played more
enthusiastic. Arvi players cut TEO margin till 5 points, but they could
not to change the result to positive side. Marijampole team was lack of
time and strength as well. TEO makes another step into BWBL history with
75:66 win.
In the game for the third place TTT-Riga overcame Laisve
79:71.Before the last quarter TTT-Riga had 16 points margin and was sure
for the victory.
