TEO
beats Cesis in the BWBL Final 2008 !!!
The BWBL final match was
between Vilnius Teo and Cesis SC Cesis. All game was nervy and until
last minute wasnt clear who will gonna winn this competition.
But more experienced girls from Lithuania reached the victory 59:53
(16:11, 15:14, 10:10, 18:18).
President of the league prof. Kazimiera Prunskiene gave to Vilnius Teo
wonderful BWBL cup from glass.
Most usefull players in Teo was
Gintare Petronyte (195-C-89) (17pts., 16reb.) and
Jurgita Streimikyte (191-F-72) (10pts.).
Silber medal winners, SC Cesis high scoring players was
Jessica Moore (191-C-82, college:
Connecticut) (14pts.) and
Dace Cinite (188-F-82) (9pts.).
During the closing ceremony was also congratulated mos usefull players
of all season. Most scoring player was Inna Yegorova, best free throws
specialist was
Ausra Naideniene (182-F-73, agency:
LBM Management) and best rebounder was
Yelena Savina (186-F-84).
Miss of the championship became
Dita Krumberga (183-G/F-84, college:
Mt.St.Marys) from Cesis SC Cesis team.
There was also selected five all star palyers
Ieva Tare (185-F-74) (TTT-Riga),
Jurgita Streimikyte (191-F-72) (Vilnius Teo),
Yelena Savina (Kyiv Tim-Scuf),
Nykesha Sales (183-F/G-76, college:
Connecticut) (Cesis SC Cesis) and
Ausra Bimbaite (179-G-82) (Vilnius Teo).
