An interesting game took place in Poza Rica, where 8th ranked Lechugueros (22-14) lost to eleventh ranked Ola Verde (15-15) in a road game 97-101 on Thursday. Lechugueros were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Bahamas forward Aaron Eneas (202-78, agency: Promotex) fired 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Dominican power forward Elys Guzman (206-82, college: Bemidji St.) chipped in 23 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Jamaican guard Ricky Johns (193-85, college: Utah) produced 28 points and American forward Harold Arceneaux (198-77, college: Weber St.) added 22 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory Ola Verde went down to twelfth position due to points difference. Loser Lechugueros dropped to the seventh place with 14 games lost. Ola Verde will face Abejas (#14) in Guanajuato in the next round.
