Regular Season Round 5: Paris-Levallois - Hyeres-Toulon 93-90

Bottom-ranked Hyeres-Toulon (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 93-90 loss to fourth ranked Paris-Levallois (4-1) in Levallois. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Hyeres-Toulon was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 28-18 third quarter run of Paris-Levallois. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Hyeres-Toulon's 42. American guard Eric Chatfield (191-79, college: N.Mexico) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import power forward Lamont Hamilton (208-84, college: St.John's) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. Senegalese forward Mouhammad Faye (208-85, college: SMU) answered with 24 points and 8 rebounds and center Louis Labeyrie (209-92) added 19 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Hyeres-Toulon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Paris-Levallois. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Hyeres-Toulon lost their fifth game in a row. They still closes the standings with five games lost. Paris-Levallois will play against league's leader Sluc Nancy on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hyeres-Toulon will play against Poitiers (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
