Very expected game when 13th ranked Hyeres-Toulon (2-8) was smashed on the road by ninth ranked Strasbourg IG (5-5) 108-76 on Saturday. The game without a history. Strasbourg IG led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hyeres-Toulon's 36. They outrebounded Hyeres-Toulon 37-19 including a 26-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Strasbourg IG shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Hyeres-Toulon's players. It was a very good performance for American-Dominican swingman Ricardo Greer (197-78, college: Pittsburgh) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American point guard Kevin Anderson (182-88, college: Richmond) contributed with 21 points and 8 assists for the winners. American power forward Thomas Terrell (201-79, college: Georgia St.) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Mali swingman Souarata Cisse (197-86) added 17 points in the effort for Hyeres-Toulon. Five Strasbourg IG and four Hyeres-Toulon players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Strasbourg IG moved-up to seventh place, which they share with ASVEL and Roanne. Loser Hyeres-Toulon dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Strasbourg IG will face higher ranked Paris-Levallois (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hyeres-Toulon will play against Le Mans (#4).
