No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Sokol Hradec Kralove (2-1) smashed at home bottom-ranked VSE Praha (0-3) 91-69. The game without a history. Sokol Hradec Kralove led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Sokol Hradec Kralove forced 20 VSE Praha turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for the former international center Michaela Hartigova (192-83) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Slovakian point guard Darina Misurova (163-81) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Four Sokol Hradec Kralove players scored in double figures. American forward Baendu Lowenthal (183-88, college: Fairfield) came up with 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and point guard Denisa Harapesova (168-90) added 13 points respectively for VSE Praha in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sokol Hradec Kralove moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Valosun Brno and VS Praha. VSE Praha at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Sokol Hradec Kralove's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Kara Trutnov on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. VSE Praha will play against BK Pliska Studanka (#10) in Pardubice and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
