Date: January 14, 2013
There was no surprise in Tehran where 7th ranked Al Badr (4-10) was crushed by second ranked Mahram (12-2) 100-66 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Mahram. Al Badr managed to win third quarter 30-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. International point guard Sajjad Mashayekhi (180-94) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Mohammad Samad Nikkhah Bahrami (199-83) chipped in 22 points during the contest. Four Mahram players scored in double figures. Siamak Torabikhah responded with 16 points and Saman Taherpour scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mahram have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 12-2 record behind leader Petrochimi. Loser Al Badr keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with Petrochimi Mahshahr.
