A very interesting game took place in Rishon Le-Zion. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 6th ranked Maccabi Rishon (2-3) to ninth ranked Hapoel Eilat (2-3) 75-72 in the game for the sixth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Maccabi Rishon. Hapoel Eilat players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American guard Lenzelle Smith-Jr (193-91, college: Ohio St.) nailed 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Elijah Bryant (196-95, college: BYU, agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 20 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Deshawn Stephens (203-89, college: San Diego St., agency: HMS) came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds and international Oz Blayzer (199-92) added 15 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Maccabi Rishon in the defeat. Hapoel Eilat moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Maccabi Rishon. Hapoel Eilat's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (#12) in Nes Ziyona which should be theoretically an easy game.
