Regular Season Round 8: KCC Egis - Mobis Phoebus 85-75

Date: November 7, 2018
Very important is a road loss of first ranked Mobis Phoebus (8-3) against seventh ranked KCC Egis (5-6) on Wednesday night. Visiting Mobis Phoebus were defeated by KCC Egis in Jeonju 85-75. Strangely Mobis Phoebus outrebounded KCC Egis 48-32 including 16 on the offensive glass. The winners were led by American Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CS San Bernar.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and international forward Kyo-Chang Song (200-96) supported him with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four KCC Egis players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds by the former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-89, college: Missouri) did not help to save the game for Mobis Phoebus. The former international power forward Ji-Hoon Ham (198-84) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KCC Egis maintains seventh position with 5-6 record. Loser Mobis Phoebus still keep top place with three games lost. KCC Egis will meet Samsung Thunders (#8) in the next round. Mobis Phoebus will play against DB Promy (#9) and hope to secure a win.
