Regular Season Round 13: LG Sakers - Mobis Phoebus 79-90

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Changwon. First ranked Mobis Phoebus faced 4th placed LG Sakers. Guests from Ulsan (15-3) defeated host LG Sakers (10-8) 90-79. Mobis Phoebus shot 62.1 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Mobis Phoebus especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mobis Phoebus made 7 blocks. American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 assists for the winners. International center Jong-Hyun Lee (206-94) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Four Mobis Phoebus players scored in double figures. Central African-American power forward James Mays (205-86, college: Clemson) produced a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 23 rebounds and American point guard Joshia Gray (185-93, college: LSU) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mobis Phoebus have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-3 record. LG Sakers at the other side keep the fourth position with eight games lost. Mobis Phoebus are looking forward to face league's second-placed KT Sonicboom in Busan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. LG Sakers will play on the road against Anyang KGC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
