Regular Season Round 24: Rishon - Galil Gilboa 92-88

Date: April 1, 2019
The game in Rishon Le-Zion was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Galil Gilboa (10-14) played at the court of seventh ranked Rishon (11-13). Rishon managed to secure a 4-point victory 92-88 on Monday. Rishon forced 20 Galil Gilboa turnovers. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by guard Cameron Long (192-88, college: GMU, agency: Inception Sports) who scored that evening 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Diamon Simpson (204-87, college: St.Mary's, CA) supported him with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Even a double-double of 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists by forward Greg Whittington (203-93, college: Georgetown) did not help to save the game for Galil Gilboa. Guard Bryant Crawford (190-97, college: Wake Forest) added 16 points and 7 assists. Four Rishon and five Galil Gilboa players scored in double figures. Rishon moved-up to sixth place. Galil Gilboa at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with H.Tel-Aviv and Nes-Ziona. Rishon will meet bottom-ranked Bnei Hasharon (#12) in the next round where they are favorite. Galil Gilboa will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
