9th ranked Maccabi Ashdod (11-17) was outscored at home by eighth ranked Rishon (13-15) with the biggest margin this round 93-66 on Monday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Maccabi Ashdod. Rishon looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Maccabi Ashdod's players. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rishon moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Nes-Ziona. Loser Maccabi Ashdod keeps the ninth position with 17 games lost. Rishon will face Ironi Nahariya (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Maccabi Ashdod will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
