Finals Game 1: Maccabi T-A - Rishon 89-75

Maccabi Tel Aviv repeated as Winner League champions. They raced past Maccabi Rishon Le Zion in the Final tonight. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi T-A. Rishon managed to win second period 29-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Maccabi T-A outrebounded Rishon 37-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. American-Hungarian swingman DeAndre Kane (195-89, college: Iowa St., agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 14 points for the winners and American-Tunisian Michael Roll (198-87, college: UCLA) chipped in 10 points. At the losing side American power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: GMU) responded with 22 points and the other American import guard Alex Hamilton (193-93, college: Louisiana Tech) scored 18 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
