Regular Season Round 3: Sodertalje - Balkan 93-83

There was a minor upset when Bulgarian Balkan (1-2) lost on the road to Swedish Sodertalje Kings (1-2) 93-83 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 52-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Sodertalje Kings shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Balkan was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Anton Gaddefors (200-89) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Jonathan Person (190-93, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Aleks Simeonov (200-93) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Kenny Hall (206-90, college: Tennessee) added 8 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Balkan. Sodertalje Kings will face Cluj Napoca on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Balkan will play against Enisey in Krasnoyarsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
