Regular Season Round 8: Al-Tadamoun - Al Mina 61-63

A very close game took place in Najef (derby !!!) between Al Mina and Al-Tadamoun. Fourth ranked Al Mina (5-2) got a very close victory on the road over 6th ranked Al-Tadamoun (3-4). Al Mina managed to escape with a 2-point win 63-61 on Saturday evening. Al Mina held Al-Tadamoun to an opponent 0.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 0.0 percent accuracy of the winners. The best player for the winners was guard Saffa Al-Saedi (183-89) who scored 17 points. Imad Al-Zubaidi chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Ahmed Al-Abd produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and guard Abbas Al-Draisawi (188-98) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Al Mina moved-up to third place, which they share with Al Shurtah. Al-Tadamoun lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with four games lost. Al Mina's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Basra Nift Al-Janoub.
