Regular Season Round 8: Al Jubaiha - Al Wihdat 80-88

The most interesting game of round 8 was a home defeat of 3rd ranked Al Jubaiha (5-3) to second ranked Al Wihdat (6-2) 88-80 in the game for the second place. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Mahmoud Abdeen (191-87) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and international guard Amin Abuhawwas (190-94, college: Mars Hill) who added 23 points during the contest. Abuhawwas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Al Wihdat players scored in double figures. The former international forward Ahmad Obeid (200-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and international guard Sami Bzai (190-94, college: SE Oklahoma) scored 8 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Al Wihdat have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader Al Ahli. Al Jubaiha at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. Al Wihdat's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Amman Al Ahli.
