Regular Season Round 26: Borisfen - Tsmoki-Minsk U20 81-71

Not a big story in a game in Mogilev where 9th ranked Tsmoki-Minsk U20 (4-22) was defeated by first ranked Borisfen (22-1) 81-71 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Borisfen. Tsmoki-Minsk U20 managed to win fourth quarter 24-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Borisfen forced 20 Tsmoki-Minsk U20 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was center Pavel Karasevich (203-1989) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. American point guard Tywain McKee (188-1986, college: Coppin St.) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists. Four Borisfen players scored in double figures. Swingman Illia Milasheuski (187-2004) produced 23 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) and Ivan Terehov (199-2003) added 17 points and 5 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Borisfen have an impressive 19-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-1 record. Tsmoki-Minsk U20 lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with 22 games lost. Borisfen will meet at home league's second-placed Grodno in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tsmoki-Minsk U20's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Tsmoki II.
