FIBA's Champions League Draw is a fact as the new basketball competition is ready to have its first ever season. The 2016-2017 Basketball Champions League competition will consist of 32 teams. Twenty-four (24) teams have pre-qualified for the Regular Season, with the last eight (8) teams set to qualify through two Qualification Rounds. The competition starts on 27 September 2016 with the first of the two Qualification Rounds.

Besiktas Sompo Japan Istanbul (BSL) added to their roster 29-year old American shooting guard Jon Diebler (198-93kg-88, college: Ohio State, agency: BeoBasket). He is not a newcomer in Turkish League as he played last season at Galatasaray (BSL). In 22 games he recorded 7.0ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.4apg. Diebler helped them to make it to the Turkish Cup Semifinals. Iberostar Tenerife CB Canarias (Liga Endesa) hired 49-year old Bosnian coach Nenad Markovic. He coached last season at Pinar Karsiyaka in Turkish BSL league.
