Jack Cooley
American Power forward Jack Cooley (206-F/C-91, agency: Pensack Sports) had a great game in the last round for Ludwigsburg, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (31 points, seven rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Spirou (0-4) with 18-point margin 96-78. Ludwigsburg is placed at 4th position in their group in Basketball Champions League group E. Ludwigsburg is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. In the team's last game Cooley had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Ludwigsburg's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Notre Dame star has very solid stats this year. Cooley is in league's top in points (6th best: 17.0ppg) and averages impressive 93.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old Canadian Daniel Mullings (188-G-91) of Kataja Basket. Mullings had a very good evening with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. It was enough for Kataja Basket to edge slightly lower-ranked Khimik (1-3) 88-82. Kataja Basket lost some distance to top teams. But 2-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Mullings is a newcomer at Kataja Basket, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.7ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 6.7rpg and 3.5apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was French Alpha Kaba (209-C/F-96, agency: BeoBasket) of Mega Leks. Kaba scored 15 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Kaba's great performance Mega Leks lost 77-79 to the higher-ranked Juventus (#3, 3-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Mega Leks can only dream about fighting for top spots in group D. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Kaba has individually a great season in Basketball Champions League. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.5rpg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. J'Covan Brown (188-PG-90) of Pinar Karsiyaka - 22 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists
5. Ante Zizic (210-F/C-97) of Cibona - 21 points and 4 rebounds
6. Nick Minnerath (207-PF-88) of Avtodor - 28 points and 8 rebounds
7. Vladimir Jankovic (202-F-90) of Aris - 19 points and 10 rebounds
8. Aigars Skele (192-F-92) of Ventspils - 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Vaidas Cepukaitis (207-C/F-89) of Juventus - 19 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Michal Sokolowski (196-F/G-92) of Rosa Radom - 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
