American Nick Minnerath (207-PF-88) had a very impressive game in the last round for Avtodor and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 28-year old power forward had the game-high 39 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for Avtodor in his team's victory, helping them to crush Maccabi Rishon (#5, 2-3) with 24-point margin 98-74. Avtodor is placed at 3rd position in their group in Basketball Champions League group B. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Avtodor will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Minnerath had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Avtodor's top player in his first season with the team. University of Detroit Mercy graduate has very impressive stats this year. Minnerath is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.4ppg. Minnerath is in league's top in and averages solid 64.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 26-year old Lithuania swingman Gediminas Orelik (199-G/F-90) of Banvit BK. Orelik impressed basketball fans with 25 points and 5 rebounds. Of course he led Banvit BK to another comfortable win 79-65 over Monaco (4-1) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in group A. Monaco managed to tie with Banvit BK at the very top position in the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Orelik is a newcomer at Banvit BK and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Canadian Daniel Mullings (188-G-91) of Kataja Basket (#6). Mullings showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, twelve rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. Despite Mullings' great performance Kataja Basket lost 68-92 to the higher-ranked Umana VE (#2, 3-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Kataja Basket ranking at the top of group B, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Mullings could help Kataja Basket to bring them higher in the standings. Mullings has a very solid season. In 7 games in Basketball Champions League he scored 16.7ppg. He also has 7.4rpg, 3.7apg, 3.6spg and FGP: 57.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Howard Sant-Roos (200-F-91) of CEZ Nymburk - 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Yancy Gates (206-C/F-89) of Ironi Nahariya - 24 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Darryl Watkins (211-C-84) of ASVEL - 10 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-G-93) of Bakken - 24 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Aaron Best (193-G-92) of Juventus - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Scottie Reynolds (188-PG-87) of Cibona - 27 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Octavius Ellis (208-C-93) of Mornar Bar - 19 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
