Thaddus
McFadden
PAOK Thessaloniki (A1) tabbed 29-year old American guard Thaddus McFadden (188-80kg-87, college: Fairmont State, agency: Higher Vision Sports). He started the season at Sluc Nancy Basket Pro in French ProA. In 14 games he averaged 12.4ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.9apg this season. The last season McFadden played at Petrolina AEK Larnaca in Cypriot Division A where in 25 games he had very impressive stats: 17.0ppg, 3.8rpg, 2.6apg and 2.0spg. He helped them to win the league title (twice) and they also made it to the Cup final (twice). He can count that season as a very successful as was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Cyprus League Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Guard of the Year. McFadden also played 14 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he was third best scorer with remarkable 17.6ppg and recorded 2.9rpg, 2.9apg and 2.2spg (in top 2). A very impressive season as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-FIBA Europe Cup Honorable Mention.
Among other achievements McFadden received Eurobasket.com All-Czech Republic League Player of the Year award back in 2012.
He has played also professionally in Germany (Braunschweig), Cyprus (Apoel) and Czech Republic (BK Usti nad Labem).
McFadden attended Fairmont State until 2009 and it is his eighth season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into His outlook: An underrated player his entire career. A 6'2" sleek combo guard who is fast, quick and deceptive. Scores in bunches and in a variety of ways. An energetic defender who can play passing lanes well and get many steals. A player who is able to play at the highest level of international basketball. At point guard he is very difficult to defend because he is cautious, athletic and is extremely efficient at shooting the long ball.
