Aris protected the lead from the opening leg and advanced into the next round. The game was mostly controlled by Strasbourg IG. Aris managed to win fourth quarter 26-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American point guard Erving Walker (173-90, college: Florida, agency: Two Points) notched 19 points to lead the effort and American-Polish point guard A.J. Slaughter (191-87, college: W.Kentucky, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Even 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by American guard Will Cummings (188-92, college: Temple) did not help to save the game for Aris. Guard Thodoris Zaras (197-88) added 19 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the guests. Aris' coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help.

Umana Venezia knocked down Ventspils to reach Round of 16 stage. Ventspils were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Umana Venezia forced 20 Ventspils turnovers and had a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Greek-American swingman Michael Bramos (196-87, college: Miami, OH) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Canadian-Nigerian forward Melvin Ejim (200-91, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Umana Venezia's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American-Bulgarian point guard Willie Deane (188-80, college: Purdue, agency: Higher Vision Sports) produced 18 points and 4 assists and American swingman Folarin Campbell (189-86, college: George Mason) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests.

PAOK surprised Partizan in Belgrade and stole the next round tickets from the hosts. The guests were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 28-18 Partizan's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 82-78 at the end of the game. PAOK forced 22 Partizan turnovers. Strangely Partizan outrebounded PAOK 43-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Partizan was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Avtodor trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 21 after three quarters before a 31-19 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 89-98 at the end of the game. EWE Baskets dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Avtodor's 42. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. American center Brian Qvale (210-88, college: Montana) orchestrated the victory by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 16-of-18 shooting from the field). The other American import guard Chris Kramer (191-88, college: Purdue) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners.
