Avtodor cruised past Mornar Bar in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by Avtodor. Mornar Bar managed to win third quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Avtodor dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Mornar Bar's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Mornar Bar's players. It was a great evening for American forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. His fellow American import guard Branden Frazier (190-92, college: Fordham) helped adding 13 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Nemanja Vranjes (187-88) with 24 points and American forward Karviar Shepherd (211-95, college: TCU) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Mornar Bar's coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win.

Kataja Basket shocked Joventut in Badalona in the opening leg. Joventut was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 24-16 charge of Joensuun Kataja, which allowed them to win the game. Joensuun Kataja made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American point guard Damier Pitts (177-89, college: Marshall, agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import swingman Wesley Saunders (196-93, college: Harvard) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Pitts is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Joensuun Kataja players scored in double figures. Jamaican center Jerome Jordan (215-86, college: Tulsa) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Xabier Lopez-Arostegui (198-97) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Joventut. Joventut's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.

The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Strangely Budivelnyk outrebounded Tsmoki-Minsk 35-23 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward David Kravish (208-92, college: California) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Serbian-Bosnian point guard Filip Adamovic (183-88) accounted for 10 points and 9 assists for the winning side. Four Tsmoki-Minsk players scored in double figures. Artur Drozdov (199-80) came up with 16 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Brandon Fields (193-88, college: Nevada) added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for Budivelnyk in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game.
